During our visit to their Charles Street location, HOLR had the pleasure of trying out a variety of services including the Hyrdrafacial, Teeth Whitening and Laser Hair Removal.

 

The Hydrafacial is one of the clinic’s most popular treatments. It is a medical grade, non-invasive resurfacing facial using a patented technique called vortex fusion which cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, hydrates and detoxifies your skin leaving it looking vibrant and youthful. It improves skin tone and pigmentation, helps reduce excess sebum production, a cause of black and whiteheads, and evens out acne damage.

During my visit, the aesthetician explained in detail every step of the process to ensure that I was comfortable at all times. Although results were noticeable immediately after the facial, the full effect of the treatment became more apparent during the following week. There was a decline in blackheads, an overall radiance and evenness to my skin tone, and an added plumpness to my skin reducing the appearance of fine lines.

With each Hydrafacial the Beauty Bar Clinic offers a complimentary red light therapy at the end of your treatment. Red light is a full body skin rejuvenation treatment which increases collagen production in the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, decreasing adult facial and body acne, and resulting in all around firmer looking skin. This treatment lasts approximately 10 minutes and the biostimulation of the red light works to enhance every aspect of the Hydrafacial.

 

After the Hydrafacial I tried the clinic’s teeth whitening treatment. A hybrid solution of peroxide and organic ingredients is applied to your teeth and a portable UV light is used. Typical results include your teeth becoming 4 – 8 shades whiter. This treatment is recommended for people who have been unable to use other teeth whitening treatments due to their increased sensitivity. After about 3-4 days I was able to see the full effect of the treatment, gaining a brighter and whiter smile, with zero sensitivity.

 

My final treatment of the day was using the Clinics pain-free laser hair removal with the Soprano XL by Alma. This revolutionary method of laser hair removal is the next generation in technology for attaining a completely hair free appearance faster than any other piece of technology currently on the market. Due to its advanced technology, it is 2.6x faster than other laser hair removal machines and requires fewer sessions making it easier to fit into a busy schedule. The overall process at Beauty Bar was quick and completely painless. I experienced no irritation after and there was a faster and more noticeable decline in hair production than with treatments I have received in the past, which have also caused trauma to my skin.

 

I will definitely be going back to the Beauty Bar Medical Clinic to repeat the services I received and to try some of the other treatments offered such as Cool Sculpting.
