On May 30th, 2019, Fancy Face hosted a makeup masterclass by founder, actress and celebrity makeup artist, Brittany Gray at Arta Gallery, located in the iconic Distillery District. Gray has worked with stylist to the stars, Jessica Mulroney, singer and actress Ana Golja and Real Housewife of Toronto/Body-Positive Activist, Roxy Earle, to name a few. You will also recognize Gray as an on-air personality and beauty expert with Cityline and The Social.  With over fifteen years of experience in the beauty, tv and film industry, Gray has developed the signature Fancy Face makeup style that is ultra-glam on and off screen that has become well-known by many all around the country. All glam-loving attendees included, top tier media, influencers, makeup artists and beauty-lovers. Guests had the opportunity to learn new makeup tricks and techniques to elevate their artistry to the next level and witness first-hand, the passion and professionalism Brittany brings to her work.

To start off, we entered the gorgeous venue that was decorated to perfection. The room was filled with blush pink balloons, candles, a floral swing, ring lights, food catered by Elle cuisine and more! Walking in the first thing you would notice was the gorgeous lineup of makeup products from the unreleased Fancy Face makeup collection — with the makeup line being released to the public very soon. Luckily, everyone attending the event was lucky enough to get to swatch, apply and play around with all of the new products. There was a huge range of glamorous mink lashes, gorgeous glowing bronzer and highlighters plus a setting spray that worked pure magic.

Walking past the new makeup collection over to the seating area, there were the cutest pink Fancy Face notebooks left on our assigned seats with a matching pen and lollipop. Next to all of our chairs was a beautiful backdrop for a photo op with the founder. 

 

The master class was focused on two makeup looks; one being a full glam and the other being a softer, delicate bridal look. The founder, Brittany, was indeed well spoken and knowledgeable throughout the class — making sure that everyone in the room was engaged and could see what was happening at all times.

 This masterclass was extremely luxurious, but at the same time was such a knowledgeable fun experience. As a beauty editor, I left the class feeling extremely inspired and excited by everything Brittany had taught us. To top off the overall experience we left with a large goodie bag filled with makeup, skincare and hair products that Brittany had told us were some of her favourites. Fancy Face is ultimately one of the best places to go if you’re looking to get a full glam done. The masterclass is highly recommended for those looking to gain more knowledge of the makeup industry, and artistry, as the process is extremely detailed and informative.
