TJ Swim was launched in 2015 in Australia by Tara Jane when she was only 21 years old. All of the swimwear is made with high quality fabric and is hand made.
Many of the designs are a modern and minimalistic take on vintage styles often including sexy high cuts and Brazilian bottoms. The amazing quality and extremely flattering cuts have made TJ Swim a staple in my bikini collection. The pieces are made for all body types and look great on women of all shapes and sizes. The brand is popular with social media influencers and celebs such as the Kardashians and Jenners as well as top model Chrissy Teigen. TJ Swim has recently partnered with super cool influencer and Kylie Jenner’s bff, Stassie Karanikolaou. Stassie who is only 22 years old designed these pieces with a modern twist on the popular 90’s styles.
HOLR Chatted with Tara Jane the owner of TJ Swim on the collaboration.
How did you decide Stassie was the right fit for a collaboration with TJ swim?
We’ve always been a big fan of Stassie’s personal style as it aligns perfectly with our brand image.
What makes your designs unique compared to other swim brands?
The design, fit and quality of our bikinis are what sets us apart. We use premium quality fabrics that hug the body in the right places. We’re known for our 80’s inspired high-cut legs and brazilian coverage that compliment the curves of the female body.
What would you say is the staple bikini from your brand?
Our classic string bikini is a staple that lasts through countless summers. Our classic string bikinis feature ultra thin straps and brazilian coverage to minimise unwanted tan lines.
How do you come up with the names for your bikinis?
We usually name our bikinis after supermodels, however for our most recent Stassie x TJ SWIM collection, Stassie decided to name our most recent Kylie’s Bikini after her BFF Kylie Jenner and the Kels Bikini after her bestie Kelsey Calemine.
